The work is located in Oakville, Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish approximately 5.4 miles south of Belle Chase, Louisiana. The work is part of the Westbank of the Mississippi River in the Vicinity of New Orleans, LA Hurricane Protection Project. Responsible for the preparation of cost estimates, estimated construction durations and cost engineering support in developing a decision matrix in accordance with government provided Guide Specifications.
Provided assistance in scope development, definition of cost estimate quantities and costs, and construction schedule for each alternative developed by others in preparing an Engineering Alternative Report. The Engineering Alternative Report provided alternatives for providing the 100-year level of protection, inclusive of earthen levees, floodwalls, floodgates, bridges, additional pump stations, and constructing any required permanent canal crossing/bridging to provide for maintenance access to all features of protection.
