SWBE/DBE Certified

Alabama – Quality Management Services, Inc. (QMS), obtains certification through Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program for the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). The DBE program handles certification for all socially and economically disadvantaged businesses and affords an opportunity for those business to obtain federally funded transportation projects.

Slidell, Louisiana – December 21, 2009 – Quality Management Services, Inc. (QMS), obtains certification from the State of Alabama, Office of Minority Business (OMB) Enterprise for the Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.  The OMBE administers the certification program to identify small, minority-owned businesses capable of providing goods and services to both government and private sectors.  The OMBE works closely with the Department of Industrial Relations Office of Small Business Advocacy to promote small business development and advocate on their behalf.

Slidell, Louisiana – October 13, 2009 – Quality Management Services, Inc. (QMS), obtains certification through Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program for the La. Department of Transportation (LaDOTD) of Louisiana. The DBE program handles certification for all socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.

Business entities organized for profit and performing a commercial purpose are eligible for certification. The business must be at least fifty-one percent (51%) owned, controlled and operated on a daily basis by persons determined to be disadvantaged.  Other agencies and programs that provides valuable information and technical assistance in areas such as financing, procurement, start-up and expansion and accounting under this program.

The DBE office provides disadvantaged businesses the opportunities to diversify and grow through various services and referrals. As part of the Department of Community Development, the DBE Program has been mandated by the Department to perform and monitor identified functions that will enhance the City’s DBE economic participation. In addition to City mandates, the DBE program employs the requirements and measurements as outlined in the federal regulations relative to funding sources received by the City.
